General Research Interest Statement:

Research includes modeling and measurement of precipitation- and irrigation-driven watersheds from submeter to kilometer scales. Specific subject matter interest includes water, energy and chemical transport for sustainable agroecosystems.

Research Interest Pertaining to SAFS project:

The general research subject matter areas are tillage and vegetation effects on infiltration and the related effects on runoff water quantity and quality during the irrigation season and during winter precipitation. Sediment transport is the primary water quality variable. The tools used to investigate the scaling of data taken at the plot and field scale are primarily stochastic in nature but we are also investigating deterministic approaches.
